Oh boy oh boy... just called the dealer.. picking it up tomorrow at 2pm...

What have i gotten myself into. Discussed it with my parents, i gotta get a job, (working at a store plus my detailing) then they said i can have a $200 a month (or $50 a week) allowance for doing lots of crap around the house.

And every month for the next 3 years, im going to be making a $280 a month payment. They said they will try and help me pay it off sooner... but, $280 a month.

Oh well. Part of growing up i assume. I will be 19 when this thing is paid off if i stick to the $280 a month...

I guess its officially mine. Congrats to wannabe.... *clap* *clap*

so what kinda finance option was your mom able to get? $280 a month for a G35 at your age is a great deal man. I know i could've done that when i was 16 when CA minimum wage was like.....5.25 (now $8)

That's more than I had after buying my first car! Paid $8250 cash for my Prelude then had literally $250 left in the bank - I was so broke my parents had to pay my taxes, title and registration fees.

It felt good to pay for my own car at 15 almost 16 though - just about every cent I had ever made or received as a gift for xmas/birthdays I saved. I think I was about 7 years old when my neighbor/best friend and I were so hooked on cars we saved every dollar just dreaming of the day we'd buy our own cars. The only things we splurged on were baseball cards and the occasional mod for our bikes haha.

I've digressed, but what I meant to say is congrats on paying for your own car. It'll be worth it no matter how long it takes - it really is a great feeling.

yeah, wish I had gotten a 6MT tho, dunno wtf I was thinking. Still looking for a good deal on one if I can find it.

If you are getting a sedan, and its not the X then I really would get the 6MT, and really the coupe. But, like I've said, to each his own. Just make sure you're happy with whatever you decide, particularly since you're paying for it. I like the fact that I'm paying for every penny of my G, I think it makes me appreciate it that much more.
