so like i got off work today and i find a big bumper scratch on my rear! some idiot behind me obviously decided not to reverse and just force their way out..and my poor car had to pay for it. i called the cops and cried for an hour hoping that this was not really happening... there is no dent or anything just your typical idiot's lack of respect for other's property... so my question is what do i do now? i have a hunch that it may be one of my co-workers but how the heck do i confront her when i have no real evidence? i am pretty sure she will deny it til the day she dies since she didn't even have the coutesy to leave a note! tomorrow morning i am going to measure her bumper height against my scratches to see if it's a match...but is there anything anything i can do? my deductible is $500... and i do not want to pay for it, it would be one thing if i did the damage myself.. but i just feel so used and violated now....

 

That sucks. I had the same thing happen to me in the city. I sat and watched the biznitch hit my car then deny it. Too bad I had 5 witnesses. All you can do is let it go and fix it yourself or be sneaky and see if it is her car. Good luck!!

Look for your paint on the other bumper. That would be proof you could use.
Maybe someone else saw what happened. Check around.

Check your company's insurance, since the damage was done on their property, they may pick up the deductible. Just last week a coworker here got a new Scion, and on the second day someone keyed her right side from headlight to tailight, $598 to repaint and her deductible was $500. Our security department instructed her to submit an incident report, their experience tells them that our company's insurance will pick up the deductible 90% of the time.

Gosh darnit all heck... I measured my prime suspect's bumper this morning and she is not the one. i also walked around measuring everyone else's bumper this morning but no luck! AHH!! =( life sux! i swear i am a magnet to this kinda crap! whew... breathe just breathe....

 

I feel your pain bro. It happend to me too, but with a shopping cart...fortunately, it just made a little nick, but still pisses you off. You're just going to have to go out of your way to park where no one will be willing to walk that far to the office ;-/
