they used the VQ25DET "bonbu" ( I thought it meant pump, but I'm not sure). They definitely aren't using the VQ25DET engine.

Theyu are still using the VQ35DE engine, as specified above.

This threw me for a loop when I first saw it.

 

Maybe it's the turbo. The kit looks like a custom fab to me and the fresh air intake looks like the mitsu style that the Greddy 18G's use.

My japanese is super rusty, but that doesn't look like turbo. Turbo would only have two characters (possibly three if the "a" sound is elongated) Ta-bo. katakana sounds in english for the characters listed were bo-n-bu
