Maintenance included in '05?

I just talked to my local sales guy and he alluded to the fact that Infinity might be adding maintenance to all their cars, like BWM. And that this might increase the cost of their cars by $3K. This would suck since I have not bought my G35 yet.

Anyone heard the same or is he conning me to get me to pull the trigger now?

I can't see Infiniti raising the price by $3K just for including maintenance. Unless, they include a ton of other options. I would say he is "yanking your chain." Try another dealer.

You can't buy a G until you learn how to spell the company's name!

Re: Maintenance included in '05?

heh, isn't it funny how spelling it right is actually wrong? i'm sure it was a typo. we can cut the newbies some kind of slack.

merito... i wouldn't bank on most of the things that salespeople say. i'd wait until official word came from infiniti. raising it by $3000 for maintenance sounds like a rip (if standard equip stays the same), especially since some people don't do the recommended services at the dealership and would rather do it themselves or just not get it done at all.

but keep us informed. thanks!

Yeah, i would save myself the $3000 and do the work myself, like change the oil, check tranny fluid, change tranny fluid, check brakes, replace brakes, rotate wheels, etc, that my friends is not worth the $3000 extra.

Free maintenance

I just purchased a 2004 G35 Sedan 6MT My dealer included a 4year/60,000 free bumper to bumper maintenance and service plan for free. This dealer even provides a Infiniti Loaner Car and free pick-up and drop-off at your house or business as long as you are within a 2 hour drive. I live a hour and 45 minutes away and they would drive a car to my house and leave it while they take mine back for service. This is a huge dealer expense, especially for a oil change. This is a superior service but I would not trust someone else driving my car for that distance. I would rather just drive to the dealership. My dealer is:

Re: Free maintenance

How much did you pay for the car?
Should be ~29K if 2004 6MT sedan (w/moonroof)and no other options
32K at the most if with Premium package.
Anything above I would says is for coming out for the 4 year free service you mentioned.

Re: Free maintenance

I went to www.edmunds.com and took in the invoice pricing to my dealer. They sold me the car for $750 over invoice. My car has Premium Package, Splash Guards, Trunk Mat. Dealer said he was getting near retail on the Automatics.
