Proud owner of a 04' G35 Sedan

Hey everyone!! I picked up a 2004 G35 Sedan Graphite/Graphite with Premium Package for $31,400. The dealer says (And to a certain degree, I don't find him lying by much) that he only made $23 dollars on the sale.

I test drove a 05' Altima today, but the torque steer was pretty significant on making a simple right turn. I had worked out a 05' Altima for 27.5k, which is about $1300 under MSRP which is unheard of on the new refresh.

I KNOW the interior was being redone for 05'.. but you know what? This car is light years ahead of my 2000 Nissan Sentra SE. I love that car and the SR20..but when it comes down to it.. RWD, the power of the VQ35, the 4 yr warranty, roadside, and free loaner... made the couple grand difference seem minute.

Opinions??

Welcome to G35Driver, and great choice bro. No torque steer on these babies. Enjoy.

Congrats on your new purchase!

Don't feel bad about your dealer/salesperson though.. they definately made more than $23 on the sale. You may have bought it for $23 over invoice.. but you probably paid a couple hundred in administrative/documentation fees, plus the dealer gets 2-3% of the invoice price back from Infiniti -- something called "holdback" to help them pay interest on financing the car while it's on the lot.

I'm with you on the interior and features. Sure, it doesn't quite measure up to it's competition, but it's way ahead of the 92 Accord it replaced for me.

They made $23 over invoice, that's not to discount the advertisement, lot, and spiffs they get from Infiniti. After all of that I'm sure they rolled in at least 3g's; dealers always want you to believe that you ripped them off, but that's NEVER the case.
