How do I put daytime run lights on my '05 G35X sedan

Can some one out there help me? I just purchased a G35X sedan from the US and need to get daytime run lights for the inspection in Canada - I live in the Hamilton area (ONtario). What if anything can I do to pass this inspection without getting gouged from the dealer or some two but mechanic of which I DO NOT want to touch my G.....PLEASE HELP

It takes custom wiring.

If you don't have experience with this kind of stuff I would pay a pro to do it.

You can use a relay to turn them on with the ignition and two more to turn them off with the headlights and parking brake like the oem systems. You would also need to wire in a diode on each light so they don't backfeed to the BCM.

Not ENTIRELY sure, but I've noticed a lot of adverts in the paper for "brokers" who help parties buying cars in the US and bringing them into Canada. You might want to consider getting in touch with them so they can take care of the details. Just explain that you've already purchased and retrieved the vehicle but need to bring it up to CDN standards - maybe they can work you a deal (I'm assuming you need the daytime running lights, and to have the speedo reconfig'd in the very least) and maybe they can even warranty the work for you??? That might even prove to be useful in case there are any issues down the road.

Just a thought. Hope its a useful one. Congrats and good luck!

If you want to get it professionally done you can go to Canadian tire, I believe they charge $200 to do it.

Thanks for input it really will help - I think I speak on behalf of many on this site when I am hesitant to allow random mechanics work on the G
