What's next? (Help with next mod)
 

I'm looking to do 1 mod to the G within the next week, and I'm having a hard time deciding which to go with. I'm not looking at any other options right now, just trying to decide between these 4.

Anyone care put these into a list of mods to do 1 through 4? (1 being first to do and 4 being last to do)

GTSpec Aluminum Front & Rear Lower Tie Braces ...Better Handling...

Sway Bars ...Better Handling...

Stainless Steel Brake Lines ...Better Stoping...

the one you'd feel the most out of all of the options IMO is the sway bars. do that one!

my order would be
1. sway bars
2. stainless steel brake lines
3. gt spec braces
4. grounding gear

grounding gear is so cheap thought i think you can throw that mod in whenever you want

I just did sways and they are a great upgrade!!!!!

^ +1. Nathan, as we talked earlier regarding sway bars, that mod really makes a world of difference in terms of handling. Nice thing about most sway bars like Stillen and Hotchkis(sp?), you can make them adjustable and set them in whatever setting you are comfortable with. I have a Stillen grounding kit, and after installation, the shifting response has improved immensely. As you may know already, this is a good mod for those with AT.

I don't have SS brake lines or front/rear braces but I'm sure those are effective mods as well. Good luck with your route bro. Think you may make it down for the Lokey meet on 4/19? :)

They are chassis stiffeners

Yea they're just bars that are supposed to stiffen the chassis.

Personally, I bought them and sold them without ever putting them on. Keep in mind that my car is a daily driver and I never take it to the track or do any sort of racing, aside from the occasional spirited run.

The reason for this is because of fitment issues with some exhausts and the SPC toe bolt. (Not sure if GT Spec has addressed this yet).

Plus because of the mounting points where the bars attach to the car (the rear bar attaches to the same point as the toe adjustment), you may have to have an alignment done to your car after you install them.

I've also read that depending on your road conditions, the increased chassis stiffness really makes daily driving more of a headache because you feel the abnormalities of the road more.

Oh also, the front bar sits right next to the oil drain plug. So if you change your own oil, like me, it makes it a tiny bit more messy and tiny bit more of a hassle.

Realistically, for regular street driving, with upgraded sway bars, tires, and spring/shocks, our cars handle like champs. Personally I think the negatives for these bars outweigh the positives that you may or may not feel.

If you go to the track or are extremely into handling, it may be a different story.

So I first gave him my opinion on what order he should add the mods. My second post is the reason why I put the gtspec bars last. Honestly, I would have just left the gtspec bars off the list, but he asked to sort his list, not make up my own list.

I would not worry about the brake lines if u don't track the car. The stopping distance is not going to change by changing the lines.
