Hey everyone, I just picked up a new 03 G35 sedan yesterday, and I love it! I'm having a very annoying problem with it though, and haven't seen any similar problems while browsing here.

The climate control/outside temp/compass display at the top basically goes crazy about half the time, lighting up parts of the LCD that shouldn't be on, flashing back and forth from random stuff to the correct display, almost like there's a short somewhere. The interesting thing is that I'm only noticing it when the headlights are on.

I didn't see a TSB on anything like this...anyone have this happen, or have any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help!

 

All right, right after posting, found an answer to the question about 10 pages back...we'll see if they can fix it at the dealer tomorrow. Thanks!

 

Yes bro, there's either a recall or TSB on this issue. The dealer should know all about it.

Hey, what was the fix?

I had this and they replaced the AC circuit board two times!

This was so damn random that there was no chance of a tech witnessing it!

Mine did the same thing and the dealer swapped out the LCD board. Works fine now!

Good deal, thanks for the info! I brought it up last night while getting the tags on the car, and set an appointment to take it in next week. It was after service hours, so we'll see if they give me any drama about it.

Since I've been reading that it has to do with humidity back there, I'll be sure to wash the car before it goes in so they can reproduce it
