this particular model does 0-100kmh in 6.2 seconds.. well 6. someting seconds hahaha

i raced it against other aussie v6's over here and most of the time i would have the upper hand.

it revs pretty fast and i gotta change the gears quiet quick, and the gear changes are very fast, just like what u would think a ferrari would be like. This is my ferrari ahahha

The 8 speed uses electronics to fake stepped gears in a toroidal CVT and is a very unique beast. The torque capability of the design is theoretically quite high but there is essentially NO industry experience with them. Consequently, it is hard to break but god help you if you do - they must cost a fortune. BTW the revised FX gets a 7 speed automatic which is more conventional.

Yeah, I had noticed that there was a distinct lack of information on Aussie or NZ sites on modding these. When I had my R32 Skyline I was a regular on Skylines Downunder (I had a free membership!) and also on Skylines Australia. Now I have the V35 there doesn't seem to be much scope at all.

At least you have the VQ35 so you can benefit from the US market stuff, of which there is a huge amount. I have the VQ25, unknown outside Japan. But I've been thinking of a custom twin turbo upgrade

Blasphemy! None of the FXs (35, 45, or the new 50) come with a Crappy Variable Transmission. You can find that crap in the Morono.
