A transformed G35

My G35 sedan has been transformed in the last 7 days!
It is so much more enjoyable to drive now, I can't stop driving
it. 7 days ago the HKS rear section exhaust went on.
5 days ago the ECU/TCU grounding wires were installed.
1 day ago my 4 POS EL42s were replaced by 235/50/17
V rated Kuhmo tires! I drive to work every morning at 5:45 am
and the streets are empty. I had such a great drive to
work this morning. The car is so much more
responsive now. The "stick to the road" feel is back with
the new tires. I can't wait till the next time I get to drive it!
AHHHHHHH! I can't get out of the G!

Hey Cato! How's the HKS exhaust? Is it too loud? I'm asking you this ? because i'm thinking of getting it and would like the sound to be around the factory level or just a little deeper.

That's exactly what this HKS exhaust has done! There is
a deeper note to the exhaust. It is intoxicating at mild
acceleration. I find myself letting off the accelerator just
so I can do mild acceleration. It's like playing a musical
instrument. I love It!

The HKS Exhaust, is it a cat-back or just the rear section. You mentioned that the sound wansn't to loud, this is exactly what I am looking for. Better performance, deeper note without the loud obnoxoius sound. How much did you have to pay and where did you purchase from. Thanks.

Re: A transformed G35

I bought the HKS dual tip rear section exhaust from mbarrad
here on the board. He is selling his G35 sedan and I bought
the exhaust from him at a bargan. I checked the HKS web
site and they are selling this exhaust for $525. I have seen
it sold for less elsewhere.

I see you are enjoying the HKS. I am happy for you. Congratz on your Gfreak status! For those interested in the HKS exhaust, go to www.optauto.com. They are the cheapest so far.

Re: A transformed G35

Any of the headache-inducing "droning" some have complained about from their aftermarket exhausts. Not sure which brands.

Re: A transformed G35

I have not noticed any of the oft reported "droning". I am
liking it more and more. I have even entertained the thought
of modding my wifes 2000 Maxima! I have already put on
the FSTbrace and Stillen rear sway bar. What about a
Pop-charger and exhaust as well?
