anybody running 35 series tires on 19 coupe rims?

i just bought a set of coupe 19's but i need new front tires. i'm deciding between 225/40/19 or 235/35/19. i know you're not suppose to run smaller radial but 40 seems a bit beefy for the sedan. i also have 255/40/19's in the back so i don't know if running 35's in the front will make it look weird. if anybody is running 35 series tires on 19's can you post some pictures.

people generally run smaller aspect tires in the rear and have the fatter ones up front. i'm running 235 35 19 in front and 265 30 in the rear on aftermarket wheels.

honestly, i don't think the 40s in the back and 35s in the front will be that noticeable.

Even the oem coupe 19 fronts are a tad smaller than oem. Running the 35 series will make it worse. Abeit not tooooo bad.

It's also going to make any wheel gap look worse.

thanks you guys, i think i'll just try to find some 225/40 tires, they're just much harder to find and more expensive than 235/35. anybody with 235/35 please post pics.

well, not running on coupe 19's but i just switch from 245/35 on all 4 to 245/40 on all 4. i opted for beefier tires for better comfort and less noise.

sizes are in my sig....

rides great, handles great.

kumho prices are great....

btw, I'm not going to slam it. If I had a race-track that connected my house to my work, sure. But, I have real-life roads in between. Looks way better in person.

I was running 245/35-19 front and 255/35-19 rear on my sedan with coupe 19's. They fit perfectly and look good too. I took them off because I am selling my G, but the tires are nearly new. They are for sale in the marketplace -----> https://g35driver.com/forums/archived-sales/222531-f-s-kumho-ecsta-spt-o-2-245-35-19-2-255-35-19-a.html It would be cool if you bought them because they are perfect for the sedan with coupe 19's. Good luck!

i figured the 40 series tires would be better because the 225 width would probably lightened up my front and give me a bit easier handling. it seems heavy in the front with my 255's in the front. i don't know why the previous person had 255/40's in the front. and the wheel gap would be less so i wouldn't have to drop it as much to make it the car sit on the tires. thanks for the input guys.

thats odd, I love the ride on mine...

perhaps its the brand of tires you have.

If you think 35 series bites, don't expect a lincoln towncar ride on 19", 40 series tires imo.

I love them, no complaints at all..ride great, grip great, minimal noise increase over stock, good looking tread, great prices, great size selections...

on my next set of tires I will definitely go with the kumho ectsa spt. I will go with a 225/40/19 up front to emphasize the staggered widths from front to rear a bit more; raise the sidewall by 4mm to match the rear (w/no handling loss), and just to see what I like better up front. I love the 255s out back!
