Re: Momo Shift **** in Auto Sedan

Initially, I did take the plastic piece off altogether, but maybe I put the new **** on too low, because sometimes I had trouble depressing the button enough, and it would refuse to go into or come out of Park. So I took about an inch off the plastic piece, and put it back on. Looks pretty good, and that's all I care. Never used the rubber spacers.

I have the same shift **** on my A/T sedan. I didn't use any of the rubber spacers, I just removed the white plastic part and then mounted the ****. It works fine.

Re: Momo Shift **** in Auto Sedan

I just replied to an IM and since I typed out my complete install, I decided to go ahead and post it in case anyone needs it. I know the instructions are somewhere in some forum, but here's mine...

By the way, I redid the install since I was having some problems....

1. removed factory ****
2. pulled off white plastic piece and discarded it (actually I put it in the box with all the other spare parts)
3. found the correct size black rubber spacer
4. cut the top off it, so it is now just a rubber tube
5. put the metal screw-on base of the **** over the stick
6. place rubber tube over the stick, kinda near the top
7. slide Momo **** onto the stick - with the rubber piece on there, it's a pretty tight fit, so you may have to use a little force.
8. now just adjust and readjust until the height is just right - low enough that it makes contact with the shift mechanism, but high enough that it allows the shift mechanism to rise fully when button is not depressed.
9. insert and tighten set screws - I used the longer ones
10. screw base onto ****
11. enjoy!

Hope this makes sense.
