Question underbody cover mounting holes broke, what to do now????????

well last week i ran over a giant raccoon and it ripped my front left fender liner right off, part of the plastic cover under the engine ripped off too and broke the mounting holes under the bumper cover

is there a way to fix this without getting a new bumper? is it necessary to have that cover or can i just leave it off?

Any photos of how bad the holes are? I had a similar problem and was able to resolve it by buying a new plastic cover, but in my case the bumper was fine I just had to by some more of those metal brackets that slide onto the bumper.

The first two just look like they've been ripped through (not missing anything). It seems like you might be able to epoxy those tabs shut so it can hold the cover. I wouldn't think you need the cover. A lot of cars don't have them and it doesn't seem like anything will get messed up from normal driving. Who knows though, another racoon might come after your car. What's with racoons and G35s? Wasn't it a racoon that took out half of ttrank's bumper?

I believe that is part of a plastic air duct. You are right, a foam piece sits in front of it.

If I'm not mistaken, that foam piece is not required for ppl who have the Nismo front bumper. You might try to ask one of those guys if they have that foam piece.

I currently have my bumper off if you require me to take snap pics tonight.
