Time for a new(to me) G.

Hey guys its been awhile since ive posted. I've had alot of work lately and such. Well I might as well say it........ On Feb 25th My father and I were in my sedan and we had an unfortunate run in with a ditch... a deep one!
It was crazy the ditch jumped right in front and......... j/p
We did end up in a ditch though. Flipped and landed back on all 4 wheels. The inside of the car was spotless. I could not say the same for the body.

I'm thinking of getting another G. Lately I have been thinking of an 07 g35s 5at. Ive grown to like the car...really. But I can get an 04 coupe or sedan for 10k less ....

What do you guys think? I'm a 5at guy and I liked the way my car ran. I read about how people say the 07g is so much faster than our first gen. Can this be fixed with intake/exhaust/spacer????

Is the coupe faster than the sedan 1/4? or is it the same? I just dont know which one to get of the 3. thanks!

I just need to get back in a G......

Buy an '04, FI it with the 10k you saved over the 07.

More used parts are also avail for modding it and your insurance will be less.

Plus you won't have the chrome grocery cart handle on the back. (oh no, did I type that out loud? )

edit: and by '04, I mean a SEDAN!

FI would be great but I could only justify about 1500$ in extra spending. Its retarded I know but...... The new sedan looks hot, But the old coupe and sedan let me keep 10k in my pocket.....(money I wish to save)

thanks!

LOL.

And very true about the ease of finding parts for modding. For $1500, you could get sways, a spacer, intake, strut bar, springs....

I like the new G35 sedan, but I fell in love with the 2005's/2006's, which is why I bought my 2006

I think that the 03-06 series has a ton more character. I have never liked the 07+ even though they have some nice features. Okay, I like them alright but would never consider trading in my 04 to get one.

I am leaning much more to the 04 year. I like the way the inside looks better than 03, and no doggy door(that never really was a problem though.) I can find some great deals on an 05 but I really dont like the front bumper look to much. It looks too tame for me??? An 04 with nismo body would do it. Now I just have to decide between that or an 04 coupe. I know the sedan has more space. Something about that coupe though.... Being that i'm looking for 5AT, the coupe should not be much faster than sedan right????

thanks!

The new G's has a higher roof line than the 03 to 06. Although the new g has a better interior and more horsepower.

To me the 05 interior looks much cleaner and classier than the 03-04, especially when the earlier model has the silver sport trim (instead of flat black). But of course the 07 is miles ahead of the 05-06 interior. I personally wouldn't be able to justify giving up the 07 interior and getting an 04 sedan (too much of disparity in quality and appearance).
But I agree the 05 front is pretty ugly; I think it looks more boxy and less sporty than the earlier gen, especially with a nismo kit. Check out all the interiors and cars in person and side by side and make a decision. If it was me I would say 07 first preference, 05-06 coupe second preference, and 05-06 sedan (but only black on black which hides a lot of the ugly new lines) last.

I noticed you were recomending the 05-06 coupe but not the 03-04. Do the 05 model have something else other than being newer than the 04? (5AT)

05-06 sedan is out of the question. I just dont like the front.

Right now its just.....

04 sedan.....

04 maybe 05 coupe.......

BTW this was my old baby.....

I say 04 sedan, nismo kit, and 1500 in mods Definitely a good choice with the IP too!
