The rear window isn't bad at all to see out of at night. I don't have a hard time what so ever.
It is illegal in some states to go past a certain amount on certain windows. Here in Missouri it is no more then 35% on the front windows and as much as you want on the rear and it is illegal to tint the front windshield here.
I have not been pulled over yet (only bored cops will do that) and if they do I am perfectly legal.
Ceramic tinting is not worth it unless you have a tree that grows money for free or if you like spending it on stuff you don't really need. Even the guy at the tint place (Quality auto glass and tinting, one of the most reputable here in Missouri) says that the ceramic isn't worth it. It was 200 dollars for me to do my entire car, to do ceramic would have cost me 500 dollars. The difference in price doesn't justify it. Maybe if it was only a 100 more it would but not 300 more.
