I was under the impression that the front Nismo bumper for the sedans had a removable front license plate cover...

My bumper has 2 bolts under the license plate cover. If I remove those bolts doesn't the license plate cover come off. I hear people with ICs cut that off...

 

Yes it comes out. There are two push tabs on top that are part of the cover that insert into the bumper. You have to pull it for it to come out.

 

Another question.

If I take off the cover is there anything else behind it? Or is it empty and exposes the radiator?

I looked at a pic where the cover was taken off but there was the actual bumper behind it...

 

there is an ugly hole behind there and its also where you'd attached the tow hook.......so I would say.........dont take it off unless you're planning on blocking it with a plate.

There is more material behind it. If you cut it all out you will see the crash support. My greddy kit removed the crash support so that was not an issue when I cut mine out.

 

Good to know. I was wondering because I see you and others with intercoolers and it made me wonder if there was anything else behind it.

 

i would definately buy that license plate cover from you if you are taking it off and not using it. i can't seem to find one anywhere for my nismo bumper.
