I wasnt aware that replica wheels where a big market... or a concern...

I'm a wheel virgin... kinda... maybe just a wheel-tard.

BTW - what ever happened with those Carbon Fiber wheels?... does anyone know the ones I'm talking about?

IF you are that concered about it why drive an infiniti or a G? I've been told that the engine, drivetrain and most suspension & brake parts are actually replicas of original designs that were initially engineered and designed for, installed and sold on ...............shhhhhhhhh don't tell anybody....... Nissans!

i know infiniti and nissan are brother and sister companies, but what does that have to do with just wanting a non replica wheel.

there are only so many designs that you can do with a wheel...at some point or other, they are gonna look very similar to one another...as long as they are reputable and of good quality, i can care less if it resembles another wheel as long as i like it...my work t1s looks very similar to the hre 591r, but as long as im happy and work wheels are of quality, that's all i care about...

I prefer something that looks like none (or few) other... like the rest of my car...

You can make OEMs that way as well...

+1 for quality wheels. Replica would imply that it's a counterfeit version of the real thing, meaning it's trying to be passed off as the real thing. Think Rolex watches. You don't see many "replicas" of aftermarket wheels, but plenty of OEM wheels.

Also, MRR are a great wheel, I have the GT5s and I think they're great wheels, at a decent price too.

They are great wheels. But those are replicas of a Maya wheel too. They look good at a much better price than the Maya wheel.

With mine... I think the only reason they weren't $4000 was because they don't say Volk or Racing Heart or Work on them...

no, sorry that is kinda how it came off, but that isn't what I meant. What I really meant was that I don't think the differences between my wheels and the high end wheels is entirely worth the extra $3000, a lot of it is the name.

Granted, I haven't actually owned a set of Volks or anything, and if someone is willing to give me some I'd be more than willing to oblige in accepting them.
