Knockout next to hood release ?

Knockout next to hood release ?

Hi,

Is the plastic knockout next to the hood release used for anything ? I don't see any wiring behind it. It would be the perfect place for my Escort radar detector hard wiring kit to be mounted.

I did notice this on my Coupe, when I took a pic of the OBDII port.
Sounds ideal for what you want it for.
(The arrow on the image is pointing to the OBD port.)

I installed a VDC/BrakeLSD/ABS cutoff switch. Sorry teh pic is bad - my phone camera sucks and it was dark.
