Approximate deduction from MSRP???
Hi All, this is my second topic on this site. My brother in law is in the market for a new G35 sedan and just copying/pasting the specs from an actual car in a nearby dealership, this is what the car would be:
2003 Infiniti G35
Total MSRP† $34,890.00
VIN: JNKCV51E33M308197
Model: Sedan Leather
Exterior: Garnet Fire
Interior: Graphite Leather
Packages and Options
Aero Package $550
Bose® Audio System Incl.
Power Sunroof Incl.
Premium Package $3200
Sport-Tuned Suspension Package $425
Winter Package without Full Size Spare $450
Accessories
Trunk Mat with Infiniti Logo $70
Base MSRP $29,650.00
Total Packages, Options, & Accessories $4,695.00
Destination & Handling $545.00
Total MSRP† $34,890.00
I'd like to know before we start wheelin and dealing, what type of discount we can look to get off MSRP? My cousin actually has a G35 sedan already which he bought when they first came out and he said that they were selling at/near MSRP. Of course, he also bought a rare one for this area - black with navigation with graphite leather as well! In the end, my cousin got his G35 sedan for $400 off MSRP.
Can I expect:
1) Since the G35 sedan has been out now for some time
2) The G35 coupe is out
that the dealers are more willing to sell G35 sedans closer to invoice? What's typical - $500 - $1000?
When I bought my car new back in 1999, I negotiated to $100 over invoice for mine, $200 over invoice for my friend's 2000 Pont. Formula, and also got a good price for my girlfriend's used car. However, I am unfamiliar with Infiniti dealers and how they work with the pricing in general, and specifically with the G35 sedans now??? Will my brother in law get a better deal on a more common color (i.e. black or silver - although he really likes the garnet red?) Can anyone advise?
Thanks in advance.
