Progress on my '04 G35

Hey guys, I don't know if you've seen my G35 project, but I bought it for $6500 with tax. I have spent a total of $1000 so far. I've already replaced the hood (thanks craigslist), radiator support, radiator, condenser, and headlights. I'm waiting on my airbox right now, thanks Shaun.

The car runs perfect, I just need a few small things. I want to replace the fenders, even though they probably could be fixed. But I can get OEM fenders for $182 a piece.

I've wanted a G35 for a while now, just couldn't afford one until I came across this one and I couldn't pass it up.

Elk Grove Infiniti has matched all the prices that I could get online, so I can't beat that, there's no shipping involved.

For those of you who don't know, this car had no frame damage whatsoever. It took me and my buddy about four hours to put it back together. Everything just bolted right together. I took the car out for a test drive, and the car drove great, no pulling, drove straight.

I really don't know why this car had gotten salvaged. As you can see, the fenders aren't even that bad. The grill on this car is temporary. I'm looking for an '03-'04 stock grill if anyone has one.

If anybody needs a perfect Caribbean blue hood, I would be willing to trade for a silver hood or one with scratches and bad paint. Also, if anybody wants it, I have a brand new first aid kit, $13 shipped.

A couple parts I'm looking for are front and rear bumpers with good paint in brilliant silver. I know some of you guys have put on the Areo kit, I was hoping someone has these laying around.

Here's a picture update:

By the way, sorry about the giant pictures. I'm just learning this computer stuff. My 15 year old daughter has to walk me though all this stuff. I'm just a lowely hardwood flooring contractor.

I know my gaps on my fenders and lights aren't perfect, I didn't want to work these fenders too much.

Thanks,

Jay

Cool, looks good (minus the blue hood) and it sounds like you got a good deal. Good luck with the rest of it.

It's brilliant silver, I checked the paint code. It's KYO, as far as I know, that stands for brilliant silver.

By the way, I also have M45 sport wheels with brand new tires going on it, once I'm closer to finishing.

I love what you've done so far in recovering the G. Definitely shows your dedication and effort in pulling this project together, and of course if you need certain stock/aftermarket parts from any of us, just post up either here or in the Marketplace (Wanted) sub-forum.

Thanks for the kind words. I am not into salvaged cars but this car only has 15,000 miles on it.Plus all the damage was just bolt on. It runs and drives like new!
