Thumbs up VIDEO ~ G sedan side marker blinker mod

I've always wanted to do this mod. I finally had time and spent my Sunday afternoon on it. Took me about 2 hours working at a leisurely pace and I had a buddy hanging out distracting me. Shouldn't take more then 45 mins if you work at a regular pace.. Here's the results. I encourage you guys to do this. I don't know why these cars don't come out of the factory with it I love it and it makes for safer driving at night. Thanks to the original author(s)-Brad, for the guide.

For some reason I can't get the video to embed

^No they don't, hence the DIY.

This was my very first Mod on the G, aside from the clear corners

Good mod and seems like a reasonably easy DIY too. I'll add that to my project list.

The only thing that bugs me about this mod is that now my blinkers alternate when the lights are on. Meaning: The marker inside the headlight assembly alternates blinks with the side marker light and looks cheezy. Of couse it's fine during the day so I only give half a damn about it.

I've noticed that most cars that have a side blinker do that, it's rather cheesy but not too bad

The video clearly shows the side blinker lighting at the same time as the headlight signal assembly so it's nothing to write about.

actually they look fine when the lowbeams are off, but when the lowbeams are on the signal and side marker alternate. I didn't notice this until I turned on my headlights at night. Oh well people can only see one side at a time. Still a very useful mod.

edit: I will take a quick video of this when i get home from work.

Is there a way to get around that? I don't think it should be too difficult considering its a relatively simple wiring mod.

now make the rear sidemarkers flash!

I'll post up vids of mine one of these days... they only flash when lights are on, not when they are off... front flash like th one in this thread.

This was one of my first mods.
I didn't like how it would still be off while parking lights or even low beams were on.
So, I just got two rows of LEDs. One white for parking lights... one amber for signal.
