COUPE/350Z Sport Swaybar vs Aftermarket Swaybar

I have an almost brand new 2008 rear Sport Sway that came off a Z that I'm considering putting on my sedan since with my X I can only go with a rear sway and a front tower.
My question is how much if any is there a difference between that oem one and an aftermarket one besides adjustability of course. If nothing significant I'll just install this one and save my money rather than going out and buying another rear one for $200 or so.

The adjustability is the good part of aftermarket sways for the G. The new Z one may help a little but not much.

Since they are so easy to install I would put it on and see before spending the $ on a new one.

Don't you have to remove the exhaust to get the rear swaybar in?? I'll try out the Z one if I don't feel that much of a difference then I'm going aftermarket. I was just hoping someone on here had tried both options and could share specific experiences

I doubt u will notice significant difference. If im not mistaking all sport models (coupe/sedan/350z) have the same swaybar (strength wise).

as far as the fitment goes then if u have the stock exhaust then no, u don't have to worry about removing it to install a new sway bar. A little twisting and playing with the swaybar positioning should be enough to get it in.

for the coupe you don't. you just take out whatever parts that it's in the where near the end links. I think the coupe had some plastic tray/difuser there. Then you basically just route the sway up/around the exhaust piping and install the mount and install the links. Not sure about the sedan though.

perfect, exactly what I was looking for as an answer. I'll just slap this one in, don't feel like droppin more cash for an aftermarket one.

I wish you the best of luck with the rear sway. It took me forever to figure out how to maneuver it out and then of course I was amazed at how stupid I was for not seeing the solution earlier. The best part is that I took a break for lunch and when I went to put the new Hotchkis one on I forgot how to get it back on and spent more time cursing at the exhaust pipe.

I hope it works better for you than what you have now, I love my Hotchkis sways. Except for the end link issues which you will hopefully avoid since you have an 05.

Got this revised sway, it's the same da thing!!! lol. Looks exactly the same and NO difference in handling whatsoever. Paid almost nothing for it so it's all good. Didn't realize the X had the same sway. Thanks for all who chimed in.

Thats too bad. I hope you figured that out before removing the sway bar. There is a brand that sells just the rear, can't remember the name or if they are any good. I believe that it is listed in the suspension FAQ so you are probably already aware of this.
