Planned Mods
Planned Mods
Here my list of planned performance mods in order. Please advise if this is the correct order. Also what type of total power increase and times should I see. Any other recommendations will be appreciated. It is goingon an 03 Prem Sport with nav
1. Stillen CAB
2. Borla Exhaust
3. Crawford Plenum
4. Tein H-Tech (maybe havent decided if i am satisfied with the sport suspension yet)
5. Technosquare ECU upgrade
The reason I am getting the Craw. so late is because I am hoping someone comes up with a fix for the gap in the hood cover
I also havent really heard anything back from how people like their teins also on a sedan or if the coupe versionw ill even fit a sedan properly. Thanks for your input.

Re: Planned Mods
If your not happy with the sport suspension as in, it's not "sport" enough for you, the current crop of sedan specific lowering springs, Tein's included will not change things, they are designed to lower and maintain ride quality over any performance inhancing asperations. A much better choice would be Tein 350Z Tein H-techs, much much better spring rate's and they'd lower a sedan 1.3"
Tein H-tech G35 coupe & sedan
Front:324 Rear:260 F+ 5% R-22%
Transfers +27% to front
Notice that they are only 5% stiffer in the front and -22% softer in the rear, this will increas understeer.
Tein H-tech 350z
Front:358 Rear:375 F+14% R+11%
Transfers +3% to front
Notice across the board increased stiffness and very little transfer to the front.
Now, with all this talk about spring rates, the sport shocks themselves are not valved to deliver the greatest driving thrill, certainly better spring rate science would help bring the most out of the car, but one could enhance the car a lot more with a better shock, on the cheap 04Z shocks would be a excellent choice. The for a price, Koni sports would be better as well. Better yet would be the pending Tokico double adjustable shock, E.T.A, any time now.
