This Is A Sad Day...

My baby is been violated... Someone hit my car..
This girl backed in to my car...on the way to starbucks..today @9:15am.. which basically messed up my front fender...

Whats the damage?

- the right fender is all bent up and smashed
- hood mis aligned
- headlight raised
- can't open the passenger door
- part of the front bumper is bent
- and my rims are scratched

What car did this..all I know, it was a chevy and how do I know this...her chevy symbol got stuck in my car...ahhaha...it was probably a silverado..u know those big trucks....

I just filed a claim with her ins and with mine..so I will know next week...i'll take some pics today and post them...errr

Sorry for your misfortune. At least at low speed, less damage to your frame, etc. Hope your repair goes well.

Remember sub-frame:P These cars are unibodys like evreything else except for the truck that took our friend to the body shop. Sorry about that but was she at least nice about the situation. I have seen soooo many people lie-even when there are a ton of witnesses for a Hit and Run? It makes me sick. I hope it works out well for you. Also remember if you pay your deduct.be sure to ask your ins. co. to request that amount back for you in their subrogation claim against her ins. carrier.

Re: This Is A Sad Day...

... i hope you didn't get as much damage as I did....... if the headlight flew up though, it's likely the rat support broke in half and is pushing the lights up (they're attached)

i nailed my car myself into a snow bank, needed new bumper, washer fluid neck, washer fluid container, rat support...

that costed me $1500

good luck with yours

Re: This Is A Sad Day...

I am so sorry to hear about your loss...that totally sucks. Your insurance would probably have to pickup the bill anyway since the loser took off you can pretty much guarantee that they were'nt insured. The only down side is that most insurance companies won't raise your rates if you have a police report that says the other driver was uninsured. I had to go to small claims court and have them tax someone's pay check for 3 years to get my money back for my detuctible and rental car from someone that hit me. Pain in the a$$. I did upgrade to a different insurance company that waives my detuctible if the person that hits me is uninsured.

Again, I am so sorry for your loss. A new car never feels the same after it has to be repaired because another jacka$$ can't drive. It's a mental thing...

So sorry, wouldn't wish an accident on anyone. I'm sure your G will be back in action in no time and it will be as good as new. Good luck with all the legal and money issues.

Re: This Is A Sad Day...

gbech,
it wasn't a hit and run, I got her information and reported to her ins...and mine as well...buther ins will most likely pick it up the damage...
But i'm assuming that the estimated cost would be 2g's+...

But my baby will never be the same again...sigh
Hopefully by next week, I will take it too the shop and get an estimate..

One of my biggest fears, when someone is backing up and not looking or paying attention. Take it to a good shop and it will be as good as new.

Re: This Is A Sad Day...

Sorry to hear that man, I know how you feel when mine was scratched by wife late last year. One thing after hearing you say that she backed into your G, just wondering if there were any other witness or cops at the scene? 'Cause if nobody else was present, she can certainly play nasty as to claim that you hit her from behind, and it becomes your words versus hers. I don't know how insurance at your area works, but here, we still have this no fault thingy, so it's important for me to establish and prove that if it wasn't my fault. If you know for a fact that she already reported to her ins. company and stated that she "backed" into your car, then it'll be ok.

Anyways, so was she cute at least?

Re: This Is A Sad Day...

acutally, she wasn't bad..she was a latina lady...
and yes, I have witness, and it was the passenger in my car...
The way I look at it...there is no way that I would have hit her car, cause the damage was from the side..and not the front...

Dang, I dun thing my car will ever be the same....boohoo
