I've inquired about getting that painted.....and the body shop told me to reconsider as they were not confident the paint will hold up and they dont want me coming back after 6 months.

I'm going by their professional opinon, so am I 100% sure? NO. But then again, some body shops wont even paint our stock black skirts, and it's been done.

I know you have yours painted, so I wasn't trying to diss your mod

I voted for the black out...I like the look on GF alot. Those colors seem to compliment each other well.

Do us a favor (or just me ) black out the side mirrors too..I want to see what it looks like

1. Don't let ur brother borrow it again.. haha 2. black out the headlights so it can match ur wheels 3. keep ur chrome molding the same so it can match the chrome lip on ur rim.

Mine has been painted twice... the first time it lasted a couple of years (or more)... but it was starting to chip - held up very well until the end... its been painted a second time (different color) and is holding up good...

It definitely is not a "forever" thing... but if done right it will last much longer than a couple/few months. Interestingly, the door handles remained flawless… they didn’t chip at all… for some reason the window trim is more susceptible… I can’t stand the polished aluminum or anything shiny on my car – so it’s worth it to me even if I have to have re-painted every couple years.

I recommend you get some vinal that closey looks like GF and and put it on the trim first. Now when if you decide to paint it then I have to say it all boils down to the primer and prep job the painter does. If they paint directly on the polished trim then the paint color wont match. It probally wont hold on too long either. Soooooo, make sure they use a dark colored primer after they lightly sand down the surface area.

Btw I was thinking about doing this to my trim and getting my spokes on the rims powder coated gold like on Volk rims. This will be after I sand down the lip and polish it to a shine just like Jmonsale did! IMO I think it will look hot as hell with the GF, Gold, and a sensible touch of chrome.

I think you should just buy the lens vinal from Bluebat for your lights. Keep in mind you can purchase ones that dont reduce the amount of light coming from your headlamps. Also if you dont like it you can take it off, much cheaper than buying a new set.
