glove compartment, the small one

There is something that looks like a lights in the small glove compartment on the passenger side. Is it a light? Because in my car it doesn't light up.

Yes, it's a light, it works when you have the lights on, I was the same as you, couldn't figure it out!

Speaking of lights is there anyway to turn on all the interior lights on an 03.5 without opening the door? Most cars have a switch that turns on all the lights in the vehicle.
