It's actually not that expensive to buy. It's putting it together that's going to cost a lot.

My only problem is that he has soo much invested and is getting back so little with 6xx rwhp. But that's because he went the wrong way with a supercharger.

I know they are. I seen Supras with them. Sounds like a supercharger whine with some buzzing in the mix.

I would say ~$6k for parts is quite a bit. It's only about ~$1-2k more labor than building a 3.5 bottom end. Most of that is in the sleeves.

I'm actually ready to spend 20k in a stoker and FI parts alone after I finish college.

You can get a stroker kit and F/I parts for ~$20k no problem.

interesting

8k for the stroker kit
3k machining plus install?
1k for the exhaust
7k+ for a TT like the GTM or greddy with their new pricing
1k for a return system
500 for injectors
100 for fuel pump
2k for standalone EMS

=23k already without gauges, boost controller other odds and ends

i guess if you skimp you can do it for 20k, or are not including a full build.

A full stroker kit with install/tune and all parts will set you back ~$30k, maybe more...

Wow, unbelievable. An Infiniti Enthusiasts forum, and so many negative comments from folks that all they do and strive for, is make their car faster and look unique. I guess it is what it is. Can the owners at least get an E for effort? If you ask me, they are probably not part of this forum because of responses like these on here.
