Did you replace the coolant the 30K mile/36 month interval as recommended in your owners manual? If you don't do the maintenance, you can't complain when something fails.

This just recently happened to me and a replacement thermostat resolved the issue.

How often do they go? I'm getting the same issue! Is it possible to replace it yourself?

thermostats are generally pretty easy. I dont see why this one would be much different. Just drain the coolant, remove the water pump, remove the T stat.

Sorry to bring back an old topic

but i have 05 g35 coupe and may big fan runs all the time !!!

it is -15 here in the morning, as soon as i turn the car on,, the big fan turns on.
so as i amtrying to warm up the car in -15 the 2 fans are trying to cool down the engine!!! WTF!??!?

and they do not shut down till i turn of the car...

my a/c is off (obviously in -15 i do not need an a/c )

so it takes for ever till i get good warm air..

Totally normal. One fan runs all the time and the A/C fan only comes on when needed or if you turn on the A/C.

But does it suppose to sound loud like I'm in a jet plane tho. And won't cut off. The temp. Gauge is normal no overheating problem. I just don't think it should sound like that. Too loud. I can be in the house and can still hear it. It just annoying. Should be a fix to it but haven't any cluem

That's normal as well, the only fix is to disconnect it and I don't think you want to go there.

Wow! So it's pretty normal that it does that. Ok Blue Dream, thanks for helping me out with this matter. I appreciate you making time for me. I guess I'm just going to have to learn how to deal with da jet sound for now. But again thank you for shedding some light to this matter.
