Hey guys. I need help. I want to buy a G35 Sedan 6MT. But i heard a lot of problem with the 6MT in the 05+. I also wouldn't mind a G35 Sedan auto with sport suspension+aero Especially with the 18inch sport wheels that come stand on the 6MT. My question is. How do you know if the car comes with Sports tuned suspension? If the car has the Aero kit it has to come with the sports tuned suspension? Help me out here i woiuld really apprecite it.

 

If it has the 18" wheels, chances are it has the sport package. But you can also check the color of the shocks, as the sport shocks are red. However, some 2006 sport shocks were not red for some reason. The sport package includes the 18" 5 spoke wheels, stiffer suspension and a VLSD. All 6MTs come with the sport package standard. And I think you need the sport package to get the Aero kit.

PS, if your referring to the OC problems, check out this thread. Unfortunately I haven't seen any reply as how to check BEFORE you buy (without them being able to cover it up). But if it has a warranty, 1000 mile OC test.

Don't let the 6mt "problems" scare you away. It's a little clunky when cold, thats really the only thing I've ever noticed. The benefits far outweigh the negatives. Also if you're planning on having the car for a long time, the 6mt will be far less problematic in the long run. Just my opinion.

 

Agreed. I knew about it before I purchased, and have never been happier. There's a TSB anyway. But if your out of warranty you will have to fight for it. FAR outweigh the negatives is a good way to put that. And they OC prob is hit and miss, as stated in another thread. Not all, or probably even most, will have this issue. Just enough for the TSB tho. 6MT the the life for me!

 

6mt FTW, I had a automatic, and i sold it for a 6mt,

and im a lot happier with 6mt. You will love it, trust me.

 

alrite guys i appreciate the help a lot! I'm goin eyeing a dark grey black intioer 6MT+aero+spoiler for 19,000. Hopefully work it down to 17500 hopefully! lol. Hopefully I won't be coming to this forum for any problems! but forums like these helped me shop for previous cars and it helped me out a lot. Thx for everyone's response!

 

Good luck to you! That's a fair price. The $17.5 would be awesome. Don't lose our forum when you decide to purchase. Finding your car is just the beginning. This forum in the encyclopedia for the G. Come in, get comfy, grab your corn nuts and beer and post some pics of your ride. Then the real experience begins, lol.
