Can someone tell me where the best/cheapest place to get a front bumper license place cover is? Also, do they come the color of the car or do I need to have it painted?

If you mean a generic license plate cover, it shouldn't make much difference whether it's for your front or rear plate. If it's the bumper insert that goes in the space for your front bumper, it should have come with your car I believe, and should match your bumper exactly. If it's not in your trunk, ask your dealer for it.

it should come with ur car. but for some reason, mine doesnt fit!
there are some foam behind the bumper thats not allowing my cover to close in

 

Yeah, same problem with mine. The foam in the front bumper blocking the way. Anybody know how to install it properly without cutting the foam in the front bumper? I searched but couldn't find anything related.

 

Foam? My plate wasn't installed when I took delivery, but installing the cover was a piece of cake.. don't remember any foam at all. Post some pics....

If you bought the vehicle new, check by the spare tire. I thought I didn't get one but when I was looking around the vehicle I found it in the spare tire compartment.

Here is the picture of it. The red part above the white line is the black foam I'm talking about. It's right behind the bumper and it's blocking the way. Anybody know how to remove that foam or install the bumper cover, please reply to this thread. Thanks

I bought my car used so and it doesn't seem to have the cover inside. Any ideas on how much it would cost?

 

got mine from the dealer and it costed me 20-25 dollars, they do come with the car, but recently someone stole mine...so make sure you use the bottom bolts to lock it in....and yes they do match your cars color. oh..and the foam locks in the car cover so leave it alone...

 

I would go to the dealer where you got your G and "deal" with them, see if you can talk your way into having them just give you one. Find the sales guy who sold you the car and start there. Sooner or later the Sales Manager will prolly get involved and eventually, if you're smooth enough, you'll be walking out the door with the bumper insert in hand free of charge. C'mon guys do I need to hold your hand... LOL!... j/k.

I don't think that method will work to well at an Acura dealer, which is where I bought the car. I guess I'll try the local dealer...

Now you got me curious about that foam... tomorrow I'll be taking my plate cover off to see how it's installed.

I had trouble fitting mine at first too...got it to work after some fiddling. Feel very carefully on the top edge of the foam, there should be two small slits in it where the frame fits into snuggly. Easy to miss. Good luck!
