G35 body work

has anyone had to replace their rear bumper? I was recently rear-ended, and the only damage done to my car are 2 small scratches from the other guy's license plate. just curious to see how much it costs. I know that his insurance will cover it, but just wanted to see if it worth the time and effort of going through with it, and then having it show up on the car fax report.

Can you specify in detail the scratches on the bumper? Posting a clear pic of the scratches would greatly help. Scratches could be anything from surface scratches (which most of the time can be buffed out with Scratch-X or another scratch removal applicant) to small cuts with removal of bumper material. It also depends on how the body shop (of your choice) assesses the damages and the method of repair, cost effectiveness, etc.

It has to be ruined for them to replace it. They will pay to remove, repair, repaint and then reinstall.

The bumper cover is not a problem at all.
