Bose HU warranty

I'm having an issue with my Bose head unit where the up/down button on the right side for "seek". When pushing the button "up" it sticks, the botton is tight against the screen and I have to push it down to get it it unstick. I'm curious as to whether you guys think they will replace the head unit? And if they do, what options do I have for head units if any? A newer upgraded Bose head unit or the same old one?

Assuming your G35 is an '05, the head unit of your car is covered by the 4 yr/60K basic warranty (unless your car has over 60K miles). It sounds like the problem may be with just the up/down button in question. There could be some dried residue behind the button which causes this stickiness to happen. I don't think the dealer will replace the entire HU because of that; instead they may just end up fixing the button culprit and you shouldn't be charged since all HU-related repairs should be covered by that warranty I mentioned.

Bring your car to the dealer and see what they see, and make sure whatever they decide to do, that it should be covered by the 4 yr/60K mile warranty.
