AWD and PARK

AWD and PARK
Just a question out of curiousity.
When i toss my X in Park, which wheels are holding the car from moving. Is it the rear wheels only? Or are the front wheels engaged as well?
I'm asking because sometimes i have to park on inclines on snow and ice, so I want to know which wheels are actually holding the car in place when in Park.

I read the same thing which is what got me thinking about this question.
I wonder if tow truck driver's care. Say i park in a handicap space and someone goes to tow me, are they really going to call up a flatbed to come get it or will the regulr truck just pluck it up and go?? If i debadge me car, no way they would know it's AWD.
So what do typical tow trucks do with AWD cars? There are more and more of them on the roads these days

I swapped out my 18" wheels for 19" and when I had the car on jack stands all the wheels were locked and I could use my wrench to remove the bolts with no problem.

Well what about those "bad" tow companies. You know the stereotypical guy rolling around looking for cars with resident stickers blocked by a peice of ice so pretend its not there
They swoop in hook up your G35x and tow it away. Guy doesn't even bother to look if it's FWD, RWD or AWD. Just swoops and grabs. Does the X get damaged? Typically, the "owners expense" covers the tow and impound fees...not damages. If the tow guy drops your car in a ditch while towing, it's on them. The problem is proving they messed up your AWD with the tow.
You know it has to have happened. I've read internet stories of guys in subarus freaking out about having their cars towed and not put on a flatbed.
Yes, pro companies do it right because they don't want to be liable, but you know there are some companies that cut corners and are shady...the ones that go through your interior, clean it out and they swear there was never an Ipod in the center console.....
