Question Couple questions anyone can help please...

Hey i have had my 2004 G35X Sedan for about 2 years and im not gonna lie im getting a little bored, so i wanted to add some things to it to make it a little more exciting. Im not big into modifying my car but i do want to add things i was thinking a new exhaust, and a new intake, but i wanted to get some input on what to put in my car that isnt going to break the bank, and for anyone in the North Jersey area a place where I can get it installed. Thanks

get a Jim Wolf Technology popcharger (cone air filter) from everythingg35.com for 109.99 plus ten dollar shipping. and get the ztube used eiter in the marketplace here or in the marketplace at my350z.com (easier to find at my350z).. most ztubes sell around 50-60 shipped.

You definately wont be dissapointed in this air intake... ^^^^^

for exhaust you can get a mid pipe off any coupe 03-06. Will make the car sound 10x better, and if you buy used wont cost you more than 50$. Only problem you might have if you install yourself is getting the rusted bolts off. I installed a coupe mid-pipe on my 04 X and i love it.

Another great thing for exhaust is a Y-Pipe off an 2007+ 350z, piping is a little bigger and its designed differant, coupled with the coupe mid pipe gives it a nice deep growl, as also to me it makes the car more resposive.

Hope that all helps

You can also get an HKS exhaust rear section (basically this is just the pipe from the rear axle back plus the muffler & tips) - nice aggressive sound!

the resonator on the coupe mid pipe is smaller than the resonator on the 05/06... so yes it will be louder, but not too much.. now for the 03-04 sedans, a coupe mid pipe makes the world of difference.

Does the ztube and popcharger add any noise to the intake side of the system?

My Z tube and K&N drop in filter significantly altered the sound of the engine, especially at full throttle. It sounds a lot louder and more aggressive.

??? The popcharger and ztube IS the intake.. its only purpose really is for sound/noise. it sounds awesome, but there really isnt any gains. you definately wont regret buying it. i promise. you'll love the sound of it. its a great difference for almost 200$, and its a simple install.

My advice for anyone considering a new intake would be to wait for the Motordyne intake and see what kind of performance results it puts out. Intel says we may have some news in the very near future. That's what I'm holding out for.

In the mean time, get a plenum spacer.

the only reason i never mentioned the plenum spacer, is because it seemed to me like he wanted to spend as little money as possible, but make his ride more fun and exciting. and although the wheel horse power is very nice from the plenum spacer, i think the sound of the popcharger/ ztube is more "exciting" for a daily driver. just my opinion though.... i have both.

I wasn't aware that MD was working on an intake for the Sedan, where did you hear this? I know they have an exhaust system in the works.

^Yeah, I'm on the forums enough to think that I would have come across the fact that MD is working on an intake, but I may have missed that post/thread.
