Interesting read

I though I would post this here as I found it funny. Mods feel free to move it. A few days back somebody posted about trading in their RX8 and many 8 owners came out of the wood work, including myself. Well a few days ago I signed on to RX8club.com and saw a post that caught my eye. A few people on that site were bashing the 370z. I along with a few others were standing up for the Z. Anyway I thought it was funny how people can not just admit that their are new better options. Anyway here is the link. I found it funny more than anything else.

Disclaimer: I am in no way bashing the 8 and this is not an 8 bashing thread, actually I love the car it just needs more power.

Almost every forum spends a little time trashing the competition: Lexus IS 250/350 forums, the Acura TL/TSX forums, the Mazda ones-- they occasionally will trash the G.

Who doesn't bash us, those way out of our league (and there are too many to list) and those not even close to our league (the Volvo 240 sedans from the 80's, the VW Jetta people, the Amish who ride buggies, etc.). It's like playing basketball in an urban setting-- lotta trash talking goes on, but no one really pays attention so long as everyone's enjoying the game.

haha it's good humor to read and hear what people say about it. I just never got into rotary motors and don't know much about them. Some of my friends have 8's and they are clean. Speaking of the 370..i saw one the other day on the road! that's a sexy car.

Are the Renesis motors holding up better than the turbo 13bs?

Not really... they def won't make power like the old 13bs... my old K20 Civic made more power with a stock block than a lot of RX8s, tuned, na modded or not.

I love the replies in that thread...

And Mazda is???

I can't wait to see the new RX7 though... I really hope they bring that thing out and not cut it like Honda did with all their great ideas.

I meant holding up as in not grenading. Or did you mean they are turning out to be just as fragile? I didn't quite understand.
