are the heated mirrors an option or standard on these cars?

I never took the time to check if mines was or not. My old maxima has the mirrors linked with the defrost so i assume thats how it was as well.

Anyone want to make a quick confirm on this?

On your '05 it is standard

It's connected to the rear defrost. When you hit that button, both mirrors and the rear heat

My mirrors are heated. I believe they are part of the Premium package which I have.

i believe they are std in Canada. no surprise there, though. up here, there are only a few options. the cars come pretty much loaded, especially with sport/premium. tech pkg is always an option...

03-04 sedans it's not standard. It's part of the "cold weather package".

I haven't ever been able to find any evidence of a "cold weather package" as an option.

One can find many reviews on '04 Sedans that statesomething like, "For '04, the base sedan joins other sedans with standard 17-inch wheels and gains heated outside mirrors." here here and here for example.

The only models and packages that I've seen substantiated are:
Base w/ cloth (5AT or 6MT)
6MT w/ leather
5AT w/ leather
Premium Pkg
Aero Pkg
Many options could have been hand selected (i.e. sunroof) without having to buy an entire package.

If anyone can provide a link to differing information I'd be interested.

You're right about that. I seem to have that package since in addition to the heated mirrors, I also have heated seats. This week so far here in FL, the morning temps have been in the 40s, already cold enough for me, so I made good use of the heated controls upon going to work.

^^^there is no "cold weather pkg". just sport/aero/premium/tech. the US may have some stand alone options too.

I believe they were added on if you got heated seats (which was just slightly more popular than the 6-speed transmission here in TX).

Edit: infinitihelp.com mentions a 'cold package' that includes heated side mirrors and heated front seats on the 03 and 04.

so it was snowing and i was testing it today.

it not exactly hot, its more of normal room temp for the glass. my 98 maxima you can FEEL the temp of the glass and know its on for sure. I have a hard time believing i do have it because its rather weak. On the other hand i have had frost on it either but thats mainly due to the housing
