Well that's good news. In the meantime stay off the roads with something riding on those kind of tires.

It's your tires. They're fairly wide in the back, they're low on tread, and it sounds like they're summer rubber. I get around fine in the snow assuming I'm on my 17" all season tires and they have at least 30% tread left. Obviously hard packed snow and powder snow have less traction, but it's still manageable. It just takes a few seconds to build any useful speed.

I did fine last year with my 17s and the cooper CS4 A/S. Only had to drive it in the last half of the winter, but it did alright. i just couldnt stop on hills or the such.

At least you can drive your "stored" car.

Mine has the rear axle pulled out and torn apart. I'm hoping parts get here soon so i can assemble it and get it back under the car in time for spring

Maybe you should sell one of your G's so you can afford tires for the other one!

Or work, or don't buy beer with the money you make at work, and/or make your parents buy your car necessities????

I'm looking for a set of wheels, see if your pops could hook it up! Maybe he could get a better deal if he buys the tires at the same time...
