I think it's BS personally.

I'm a fan of Riverside, I've had a great experience with them and have spent hundreds in the past. I understand your concern about wasting time, but from my perspective the sale is closed based on some combination of how I feel about your customer service, price, and the availability of your OEM parts.

If I call for a price and a part #, I expect a price and a part #. I'll make the purchase If your price is competitive, you provide good customer service, and you can get the item to me relatively quickly. Not providing a part # is poor customer service, IMHO.

I've ended potential transactions for exactly the same reason and have made them with Riverside because they, in fact, did provide a part # along with their price. Personally, I think if you're competitive in the areas that I mentioned, your sales will reflect it and the time spent looking up an occasional part number is simply part of your job.

Just a little customer feedback Rick. Pass it up if you care to.

Uh, When was I rude? When I spoke with who ever at riverside I was polite to the guy on the phone, I told him how I felt about the PN I told him it was lame. He asked if I still wanted the price, I told him no, not to waste his time, Thanks anyways and hung up...I dont see how that is rude? I did say it was ****ing lame on this board but not directly to anyone at riverside.

that part number is easily obtainable elsewhere anyway.....you're letting a lil part number getting in the way of getting a price quote?

So yeah....what was the best price you've been quoted so far? share with us.

Let's say Riverside Infiniti is $30 less than the cloest competitor.....will you honestly say that you wont buy it from Riverside because they followed their policy and refused to give out part numbers?

I would.

I'm old enough now to realize that I don't have to put up with poor service. I don't care about the price as much any more and I don't let people push me around and **** me over any more.

If you give me what I want when it and treat me like an adult, you get my business.

I am not going to name anyone but the lowest price I have been quoted is $930 plus shipping, the problem is shipping varies so much from each shop. The reason I wanted the part number is so I could get the correct price and part, it just makes life easy. Since we are on the subject of the front bumper, how hard would it be to pull off the stock and put on the new one?

I think you may have a point from wanting to know the p/n. When I shop on the net, sometimes different pictures of a part will have the same description. So it can be confusing and hopefully that the part that you want is what you get.

As for installing the bumper, I didn't do it but from the instruction that came with the Nismo bumper that you will need to cut some bumper absorber to make it fit. It doesn't look to hard. You just need a lot of patient and probably a friend to help.

tell you what bro, when you get it......i'll walk you through it.....its very easy.

you have to drill out a coupe aluminum pieces in the bumper support beam and also reinstall the corner light brackets...those are lil details that will come into play when you actually have the bumper.

And prices have gone way up!!!......I got the bumper for $770 shipped brand new

that's not poor service.....i've dealt with riverside infiniti on various occasions....they DO NOT have poor service. They are simply following the company policy.......something we all have to do at work. If it's considered poor service that they are following the policy......then is it poor service whent he local supermarket cashier ask to verify your ID when you use your credit card?

Rick has always been professional......even after the OP said "the rule is lame" he still asked if he would like the quote. Even took the time to come in here and explain the rule, can't get anymore clearer than that IMO.

Meby I should have said: "when I don't agree with Company Policy"

IDK what it is, stupid policy or poor service, I vote with my money.

In the end does it mater? The business is losing my money, and the money of others because of "company policy".

I talked to a local shop just to see if they could match the paint to my G, I was quoted $1,700.00 This includes them getting the bumper, matching my paint, and mounting the bumper. I think I may go through with it...the only thing is I would want to order the bumper and if the paint isnt as bad as I think it is, I would just mount the bumper myself....

Most likely it will need some fitting. Does the bumper come painted? I thought they were all in black. $1700 doesn't sound to bad to me. I had my bumper and hood done for $600, but that was just paint and prep.

Are these bumpers uerethane? or fiberglass?

Seeing as it was an OEM option, my bet is on uerethane... so it should be shipped as plain black poly or maybe have a factory primer coat on it... either way, there will be prep required to get it ready to paint and $1700 doesnt sound TOO outrageous for this...
