I miss my G :(

Took the car into the dealership last Tuesday (6-8) to have them check out a couple rattles in the front door panels, and the car is still not fixed. I've been driving an FX35 loaner for a week now. Infiniti is supposedly sending out a technical specialist to assist the dealer in fixing the problem. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the dealer is doing everything they can to resolve this for me but I'm just getting a little antsy about getting my car back. Sorry for the rant....just feeling a little frustrated and I miss my G!! - Mike

I hear you! If I had to part company with my G35 for more than a week, I would probably start to show signs of withdraw! lol...

Look on the bright side. You got an FX35 loaner! That's pretty cool isn't it?

Re: I miss my G :(

Went to the dealer to pick up the car today and the rattles are still there so I had to leave it there for another day. Here's the worst part, when I dropped off my car the mileage was at 758 and the mileage is currently at 942. I went BALLISTIC!! They are saying they had to keep road-testing the car to pinpoint the rattles....what a bunch of crap!! They ended up filling up my car and my 7500 mile tuneup will be free. It made things a little better but I'm still a little pissed about it. Plus they left footprints and grease stains all over the interior of the car.
The FX loaner is a pretty cool car. Lot's of room but $hitty gas mileage. I'm not complaining, at least I got a loaner vehicle to use....which is more than what I got when I owned Toyota's and Honda's.

Re: I miss my G :(

I just came back from vacation. We drove in our Volvo, nice voluptious car but I was missing my G so much that since I returned 3 days ago my G's consumption is ~ 13mpg in city.
I'm not surprised since occasions where it is shifted above 3rd are very rare.

Re: I miss my G :(

Got my car back today. The rattle is still there by the front passenger side door panel/A pillar area. My service advisor told me an Infiniti engineer has checked out the car twice and according to him this is normal, and there is nothing more the dealership can do for me. They have installed insulation, weatherstripping, and even replaced the power window switch assembly in that door but the damn noise is still there. The service manager told me to drive the car until the first oil change at 3750 miles, then if the noise gets any worse he will take another look at it. Not the answer I was looking for but I guess I'll have to deal with it for now by turning up the radio when I drive

Can anyone recommend a competent Infiniti dealer around So Cal I can take the car to for a second opinion on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. - Mike

My car has those exact rattle except in the driver's side. They looked at it and it wont go away. They said it was the Bose sub in the back, which they are replacing, but it does it without the music on. I hate that SOUND!!!
