Why would you want to spend $3k for full time awd?

Amazon.com: Infiniti G35 4Dr Glossy Black Halo Projector Headlights+LED Bumper DRL Fog Lamps: Automotive

I'm looking for some new, preferably black, headlights. They seem to have a good lineup but I can't find any reviews on them. Option 2 is to crack open the OEM ones and paint them myself.

Holy crap. Those look so sexy

Option 2 is cheaper and he doesn't have to buy ricer lights.

Hey guys,

New here, and was just curious if you guys would recommend lowering my 03.5 6mt sport sedan. Any wheel/ lowering recommendations to make it look better? Or should I not bother since it's already the sport model?

Lowering it and putting spacers on it (or new wheels with the correct offset) will make it look 20x better, however, I would not do it unless you understand that it should be done correctly, otherwise it could start costing you a lot of money in tires and other suspension parts

Your suspension has been sitting in the same position for 12 years, and lowering it will change the geometry of all those parts. Ball joints, bushings, toe bolts and camber kits should be a part of your plan if you decide to go for it.

Nice G BTW. I like the early sedans with the spoilers. I would take off those door bumpers tho. Haha

Awesome-thanks for the help. Before this, I had a Mazda6, and the first mod we all did was remove the door guards too.

If I went the wheel route, I would probably go for 18s. As you point out, the suspension could be quite a costly endeavor at this point. I too love the look of the early sedans with the spoiler, and when I saw it only had 45K miles, I had to jump on it

If you did all the work yourself you could lower it right for about $800. That would get you some springs, new lower control arm bushings (Energy poly), compression rod bushings (Energy poly), SPC rear toe bolts, SPC rear camber arms, kinetix front upper control arms, and CZP steering knuckle ball joints.

If you could find the springs, rear camber arms, and/or front upper control arms used, you may be able to get it down to $600.

I can tell you that if you can find wheels that are 19" X 8" X +30 offset, you will have a perfect look. The tires (245 40 19) will fit perfect without a fender roll or pull.

That looks really nice! Yeah, if I could swing wheels and tires, that'd be a great option. Better start saving now....

Just one question: does upgrading tire sizes screw with the abs system or tpms?

Yes.... Keep it the same on the sedan please.

Oh yeah, I'd run a square setup, I was just wondering if upgrading from 215s to 245s would have effects on the ABS and whatnot?

Texasscout 03-04-2015 10:24 AM

My car came with 18" tires originally. I think the tire size was 225 45 18. I used a tire size calculator to come up with the exact same diameter of tire/wheel using the new 19" wheels. That way my speedo is exactly on the money.

Hi, Friends

I recently put a Z tube on my G35 sedan. Also put a k/n air filter an I read that the Revup Airbox is good option. I found locally this (2005) 350z air box for $45 with a KN filter. Do this will fit my G35 or I need to modify to make it fit?

I will thanks your advise!
