Tail light removal help!

hey guys probably a stupid question but i've been trying to tint my tail lights but can't seem to take off the plastic tabs to remove the liner, i've tried a couple methods but nothing seems to work, is there a certain way to take them off?

take a flathead to those tabs, there should be space for you to wedge the flat head under the inner tab. once you pop up the inner tab pull it out and pull out the other piece.. then you have 3 bolts to get the tail light assembly off

yup. I use a flathead screwdriver. Just insert the flathead in the groove and pop it up. It'll come right off

there is a little piece of plastic you push up to release. It's on the underside of the plug. Push it in and shimmy back and forth. It will come off

I always use a 45 or 90 degree pick to get those off.

What are you using to paint your tails? VHT, paint or?
