Why don't yu go for a G-Coupe? I traded my Sedan for a Coupe and am so happy with it. Good luck with whatever you decide bro, we'd like to see you stay with a G.

Lancer is smaller, way more sporty (tighter suspension, quicker) but way way less luxurious. Definitely uglier (I guess that's an opinion, but an easy choice to most), and it is a Mitsubishi (crappy dealers, some of the worst)

Hi,

The MSRP is 29K for that car with a 4 cyl. 2.0 engine.
I would think about that!

Its definetly alot less luxurious...but then again, its make up in power...271 hp...0-60 about 5 seconds...

Most likely the size of the subaru impreza...or mazda 6 maybe...IMO...its a little to boxy for me...I rather have luxury than sporty look...JMO...

If you think you may get into competition, even low-end, the Evo will probably be best suited. It also comes standard with a lot of features that many people purchase aftermarket.

I like the semi-luxo feel, look and ride of the G; someone else may prefer the high performance racing edge of the Evo.

It's all in what you want.

If your into street racing and track racing, then getting the EVO makes sense. If your not, then you will probably regret getting it.

The EVO is a awesome performer, but it has late 80's styling and low quality fit and finish. Not to mention its way smaller inside, so if your semi tall you will hate riding in the lancer.

Get a coupe and then get a turbo and then say good bye to an POS lancer

Re: lancer evolution vs g35 sedan auto

Thanks everyone for your feedbacks. I had a show winning prelude before my g...I sold my prelude because I'm married and also have 2 kids. It was very inconvenient for me to drive my prelude with my family. I did have a second car but I wanted to drive my car as well. So I've decided to get the g. It's sporty yet luxurious. I slowly started to mod my g...of course... without telling my wife. But still...I was not satisfied. Especially after a black supra passed me...showing off his turbo power...it was incredible.....psssssh. Then I decided I want forced induction for my g...but I'm afraid my auto tranny can't handle the boost. Also, I'm not sure if anyone is working on a kit for my sedan. I've heard rumors about alpine development, nismo, and stillen...but I don't know if they will actually make a kit for my auto sedan. I really love my g...I don't know what to do. I don't know if I can justify 2500-4000 markup for evolution. And not to mention getting a huge hit on my g. I'm still debating.

Tough decision. But it seems that it is a matter of 4 doors versus 2, so that would leave the coupe out. Plus you cannot really compare a Supra Twin Turbo to anything else except a Supra Twin Turbo. PSSSSSSSSSH!! Such a sound!
The rumor is that the Auto will be install Turbo/Supercharger at your own risk. 6 speeds apply only.
Get the "G" Sedan in 6 speed and Turbo it.
But I would not rush into any decision right now, until there are more products for the "G" and newer model cars come out. Then you can make a more informed decision, instead of from the gut.

Re: lancer evolution vs g35 sedan auto

our auto tranny can take at least 340HP... and thats AT LEAST

auto tranny are usually even stronger then the manuals...

get the power enterprise twin turbo kit, and u should have around 400HP or top secret single turbo that is good for 350HP

and i'm sure the stock auto tranny is still enough for that much power.

the evo is never famous for high top speed, u will still get passed by a supra if it's on highway.

i used to drive an Evo7 and raced a RS4 b4, the RS4 basically just blows by my EVO7 and i cant even keep up pass 180km/h... i'm sure most supra out there have more power then a RS4

and it's pretty hard pushing the 4G63 over 400HP without internal mods

Re: lancer evolution vs g35 sedan auto

not to mention that the USDM EVO 8 plain suck.
it only have 271HP, and it lacks the new 6 spd tranny and the Super AYC + ACD.

the new STi is a much better deal, 2.5L engine, more hp and torque then the JDM car, everything including the DCCD (Driver control center diff) the 2.5L EJ25T engine have much more room then the 2.0L 4G63 in terms of mod.

Re: lancer evolution vs g35 sedan auto

if 2 doors were still an option (which their not), then 2 seat lotus elise is probably outta the question... under 40K ... zero to sixty in under 4 seconds.

Re: lancer evolution vs g35 sedan auto

Thanks again everyone. I was looking at the power enterprise turbo kit and greddy turbo, but they are both designed for the 350z.... Also, even if it works...I fear for my auto tranny. Then again, my friend with a auto is300 just ordered plp supercharger for his car...it comes with valve body upgrade, different torque converter, etc,

The Evo is a pretty cool car if it was a $25,000 car. But if you get
an Evo now at $30,000+ you'll be kickn' yourself in the a$$ a year later,
thinking why did I spend $30,000+ on a Lancer!
