All Young G35 Owners!! Between 16-23 ish!! Mods we can afford are here!

nobody seems to understand that we dont have millions of dollars to dorp on our cars!

i started this so people like us who know whats going on with out finiancial situation and help each other out with upgrades that we actually can afford rather than saying twin turbo that ishh costing us 5 grand.

ill start it off with saying that i dont have much to show yet on my car, other than i got it for 16gz, with 22000 miles, no problems, no accidents, nothing, used 2 year lease return, X AWD model.

so far ive had my baby for about 5 monthes, so far i havent done much, but ive been searching the forums and came out with some ideas and i made a few purchases.

my first upgrade was performance, i got a JWT Popchager w/ a Ztube. the company advetises a 7hp gain with a z tube, from what ive read some say is bs but im not too sure, i definaltly hear and feel a difference with mine though, and standing at a modest 195$ before shipping it sounded great to me.

next i purchased a pair of clear corners for my sidelights, theyre pretty cool, since i have a black car with soon to have 5% tints, it wil work great, orange sidlights dont make much sense to me. and taht was at a very modest 33$.

right now im just saving up after ggetting fired from my day job @ a toystore, it sucked anyway, but since i dj on the weekends it shuold be fine. im looking on buying 5/16" plenum spacers, after reading the forums it seems that this size seemed best for the performance of my car. and that only stands a a very modest 225$, and thats advertised to add 11-13hp. and from what i herd it is pretty acurate.

after that, over the summer im looking on getting the 19" Coupe Ray Rims off the 06 g35. those will really set off the whole look on my car, but im not sure if they wiegh down my car more than the rims i already have, i want to look into that.

but after all thats said and done, i will be pretty much SOL. exhuast always sounded expensive, im not sure how it works ethier as far as you being able to buy in peices. if you have any ideas on that please reply or pm me. with like exact models and stuff becuase im not sure at all what i need but i know i want performance over sound.

feel free to pm me with anything

and if you live in jersey im looking on meeting up and talking about a common interest we obvously both have if where reading and wrtiing this, pm me!

thanks to all who post!

He's not asking anything. He's just stating the most common mods that are ALWAYS recommended here (as the first things to do).

I'm not quite sure why he made yet another post about it, though...

You wasted your money on the Popcharger. A Z-Tube / K&N combo would have been a little over $100 for about the same performance.

The title of this thread doesn't really fit your original post. For someone who doesn't have a job, writing a thread about saving money, you've managed to list about $1500 in upgrades. No, my math is not off. Getting the 19's is going to be $500+, but they're useless without tires. How many 16-18 year olds have $1500 laying around to spend on upgrades?

Save your money and go to school so you can get a real job and then you can actually afford to upgrade your car.
