I say just be happy that your lucky enough to get something like that for your birthday. Obviously you're young, so just be happy with it and drive it. Its already most likely too much car for you, so why not just save your money until your driving skills merit more. Adding more power if you cant/shouldn't tap into it doesn't make much sense, maybe go spend your money on some track time. I sure wish I would have. I know its a boring answer, but if hindsight is 20/20 then its gotta be correct. haha.

^unless he turboed it, adding an intake isnt going to make the car faster and more power for him..

My first car at 16 was much more powerful than a G.

As long as he respects what the car is capable of then he shouldn't have a problem with it.

Read over my post again, where did I say anything about an intake and power? All I was saying, in a nutshell, is that track time will be more beneficial to him then modifying his car.

Why not do both? I have taken a couple driving course things now (including an ice driving one, which i have pics from) but i still modify my car.

Will i take my car to a track day? Probably not. Kinda hard on the vehicle and my expensive tires...

Take a second look at that quote again. You found the words adding power, but where does it say intake?

Correct answer: No where

This thread talks about almost every NA mod (spacer, exhaust components, intake, and various others). Granted they still dont add much power, but they do add power. And honestly I really dont think many people on this forum will agree with my line of thinking, but I would guess most of the people on this forum are young themselves.

You would be surprised.

Regardless, i have pretty much every NA bolton sans HFC/test pipes and headers and pulleys.

And i think my car is slow lol.

There is not 1 time i can remember where my cars power has gotten away from me. Esp with an auto, the car just isnt an uncontrolable beast.

welcome to the forum. Get a intake, exhaust, headers, coils, wheels and you're good to go.

Here's a good starting mod list for new owners:

- twin turbos
- fenders rolled, suspension slammed, 20" wheels (chrome, as many spokes as possible)
- limo tint all around (esp. front windshield)
- black out headlights, taillights, clear corners, carbon fiber hood and trunk
- new front bumper of your choice
- new exhaust
- double din system inside, all new speakers
- nitrous

You forgot the custom interior with BRIDE seats, and everything else removed!

As well as the custom paint job
