Turbo Questions

I have access to a Garret T-3 turbo originally from an eclipse. What are the chances that I would be able to pipe this thing to work for the G? Also, what kinds of costs are we looking at here? Thanks guys!

Post this in the Engine, Drivetrain, and Forced Induction, under the Forced Induction section. They people that frequent there are really knowledgeable.

If you have to ask, it's too hard and expensive for you. ESPECIALLY if you're asking about a T3

Wayyyy to small for the engine. Don't even waste your time thinking about it.

Usually to craft up a DIY turbo setup, you really need to have knowledge of a turbo setup and how it works. Then these questions pretty much answer themselves.

Besides, a T3 is sized for a 2.0L motor. Might be a bit small unless you run twins. I almost ran a pair of garett T3's on a 5.0L motor until i realized i was lazy and bought a kit.

First of all...I've never heard of an eclipse comming with a T3...I have seen them come with 18G's and 20G's and similar turbos but they aren't T3's....don't really know much about mitsubishi's though...

Second... There is not a T3 large enough to work well on this engine in a single turbo setup. Whether it's a 40 trim or a Super 60.

Third, T3's will work if you go twin turbo....but the turbo's themselves are only a TINY part of the huge expense that is needed to go twin turbo.

In the end...just get a kit.
