Me and my wifey decided to go on a "Starbucks" run. On the way there, I bumped in to an IS(MT), I gotta admit, this car looked TIGHT and definitely looked FAST [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] . Let me get to the point..... He decided to show off and straight hit me up so I was like OKAY...We hit a redlight pulled right behind and decided to mess with him. Light turned green he punched it, I almost stalled but saved it(flip flop slipped [img]/w3timages/icons/frown.gif[/img] hehe!) I was about 2 1/2 cars behind when I hit 2nd, before hitting 3rd I gained up on him about a car. Hit 4th I was right behind his ***. Here is the (censored) part I decided to go for the kill going on 5th but, that *SORE LOSER* Decided to hit the brakes on me!!!!... WHAT KINDA CRAP IS THAT!?!?! The way I see it is, it's either you win or you get smoked!!!! Just for the record, I don't street race, this was an exception. IS straight disrespected me, my wifey and my G so I just had to give it to him [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Good, those IS's do look good but dont have the power or times to make up for it In my book, they arent worth a race and are slow. I just beat a G35 coupe auto tonight and an eclipse gsx turbo =) But when those IS300's are turbo'd watch out!! Rarely see them though, Martin

You were behind a IS300 up to the 4th gear because of a bad launch? Sorry, but you lost.... You can't call him a sore loser, because technically he didn't lose. Sounds to me like you were the sore loser.

btw: You were going up 4th gear on a regular road with traffic lights? Wow, that's pretty fast.

Like I said though, I was going for the KILL, I know I had him, he knew it too and you know it too but, that's not my main point. My point here was why would you wanna hit your brakes knowing that you are trying run somebody whose closing on you really fast? Was it because I was tailgaiting him really bad and deciced to brake check me? [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] OR was it because he knew I was gonna smoke him?. I aint trying to start up anything with any IS driver.It could've been any car. It just happened it was an IS....

btw, I do regret doing what I did tonight, braking the law and driving recklessly. [img]/w3timages/icons/frown.gif[/img]

Dude, you got beat. You weren't "going for the kill" in 5th gear, you were going for the ricer flyby. He probably brake checked you because he realised before you did that up close to 100 mph the contest is OVER. If you had had proper shoes on and had been alongside him instead of behind him, you could have smoked him on the launch...coulda, shoulda, woulda, still sounds to me like you lost. Sorry.

 

i dont like to race in a single line. It's too dangerous, because there are some little punks that will brake check you. Don't let your G down with a poor launch.

Actually I don't think it's all that hard to launch a G35C/350Z. Rev it up to around 2000rpm and release the clutch while giving it about 3/4 gas until the rear tires hook up. That's it' No crazy 5000rpm or 4000rpm clutch drop. btw: I don't ever drag race, but I notice the car hooks up nicely this way at AutoX.

 

I know fellas!! I gotta admit I screwed up on my launch [img]/w3timages/icons/frown.gif[/img] . I shoulda pulled next to him instead of pulling behind him. Reason why I pulled behind him is I hesitated if I should go for head to head run or play that cat and mouse game with him. But, what the heck [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] sometimes you win sometimes you lose !!! It was just another day!
