As to the ski rack, is that removable easily? Like does it drill to the roof or is it clipped on or something? Also, how much does something like that run?
It's VERY easy to remove. The "feet" as they call it clamp into the rack after they clip onto the car. They are rubber coated so they don't scratch the car as long as you CLEAN the car before you put them on. There are A TON of attachments so it can get pricey, but I think for the price they are worth it for the extra space/convenience.

www.thule.com

That's the brand I got...there's Yakima too

yeah- a little dissapointed I am a snowboarder as well..
Does not seem to make much sense since the seat fold option could have easily been added and would be much worth it, I mean wtf can you really do with a 12x5" hole??

Obviously infiniti was thinking about trunk access wtf they failed..??

I agree that rear folding seats should have been a no-brainer for Infiniti. This is the one feature that I truly missed when I moved from my Maxima to the G35 and would add a bit more practicality to this awesome sports sedan. I used to load all sorts of things into the Maxima. I don't think the '07+ G's have this either. Shame.

I usually use a Thule rack for my snowboard or take the wife's car.

You could always just remove one of the seat back cushions in the rear. Not pretty but it will work. Since you have the reclining seats I'm not sure what is all involved but I wouldn't think it would be much more complicated than the standard seats which I have. All you have to do is remove the bottom cushion (there are two tabs in the front and you have to pull them forward and then you can lift it off) and then you should be able to get to the bolts to remove the seat. Since I have the standard seat there are only two bolts to remove and then the seat lifts out.

I started putting stuff across my backseat which sucked. One day i scratched the metal sill ont he door handle. After that i just started wrapping everything in blankets.

I LIKE how the rear seats recline..but nobody ever uses it! It's a novelty just like the dual climate control.

How the hell am i supposed to fit crap through that little hole in the center?

When i had my Mustang, i could fold the back seats down and pull all sorts of crap back there. Now i have to borrow an SUV. Imagine that

I was very dissapointed when I figured out that the rear seats don't fold down. I assumed they did since my wife's Altima which is older than my G has that feature.

The new TL seats don't fold down either. Probably more of a target audience type of thing.

I removed the seats before. There is a frame behind the seats.

Any REI or outdoor outlet should have several brands of them for you to check out. You buy the bar as one purchase, then get the various attachments They have for bikes, skis n boards, kayaks, different sizes, etc. They attach and remove in just seconds. They have padded towers that clip into little moldings in your door frame.
I personally think they look sweet on a G too.

I think that part of the reason they dont fold down is to allow the large crossmember in the trunk to brace it more effectively. Take out your trunk panels and look at it, its massive. I was considering making a rear strut bar until I looked at what was already there.
