bodyshop monday...

sooo as i have been unable to get a response from m1 about procuring a nismo rear end, i think i'm just going to buy a stock sedan rear end and re-paint that(i think since the x is textured it won't paint, although i haven't looked at it closely). not sure where i'm going for my grill but i'm thinking just an ebay gialla type and have the body guy fix any fitment issues... i doubt there'll be much of a gap though. i really wanted to do something to set my car apart, a cf option or something, but the reality is the options just are too limited. so i guess as of right now its the nismo front end and sides and the stock rear. comments/ suggestions?

Nismo always looks good. Gialla grilles are nice, try mounting your Fuji emblem to it as well. That gives a pretty good look and not many guys on here have it.

update: dropped off car sunday night. got a rental(gag) BRIGHT red challenger 3.5... cant disable the traction! why would you have a rwd car you cant disable t/c on??? gotta find that fuse... anyways enterprise is working on getting me an 09 maxima, which i've wanted to try for a while.
@ the bodyshop, the car is dissembled, but progressive has to come out there so the guy can show them the hood, since it's aluminum he cant repair it. if they give him a hard time we'll probably just circumvent them and go directly to commerce. i'm not holding my breath.

I've decided to just get a new stock rear and get rid of the x two-tone. the aftermarket price was right through vis racing, but communication through the vendor(m1autosports) was shoddy at best, and the genuine nismo rear is too pricey and I don't know if the body lines of the stillen will line up or not.

Do you have an ACTUAL reason for saying that, or did you just feel like coming in to my thread and sh!tting on my choices for no reason at all?

if you're having the rear valance molded in, the fitment isn’t really important.

OP - if you can wait, I have some things being done to the car right now - you might like the way in turns out – and possibly consider similar idea for your car... it’s gonna be another 1-2 weeks though...

i'm basing off of an actual account by a VIS buyer who informed the forum taht the rear fit like **** and required a lot of prep work to get the fitment right. AFter it's all said and done with, is it worth it? you tell me.

The oem comes to about $500 with 100% direct bolt on and painted. No, I'm ****ting on the product, not your thread.
