hey guys, i jsut picked up a 05 g35x with 40k miles on it from the dealer 4 days ago...

i noticed that my service engine soon light keeps going on and off randomly, anyone know why or what it can be? it will turn on then turn off for a while then turn on for a while and back off and so on... what can the problem be?

Could be alot of different things. It should be under warranty but if the it doesn't show up when its at the dealers you could buy an actron scanner at an autoparts store and keep it in the car to pull the code yourself to help the dealer.

 

i see yea im taking it there tomorrow just tryin to get a headstart of what it can be so when i go to the dealer i can at least know what im gettin into lol

 

i have the same car and it happened to me too, i took it to the dealer and they said that it was just a malfunction and everything is fine.

 

Only way to know is to get the code read

 

I know around NY autozone does free diagnostics, not sure where you from, but don't spend an extra dima for 5 mins of work to find out what the problem is, also try to make the place you bought it from pay for any work that needs to be done...
