I like them a lot, but it will change the aural presentation of the vehicle. It sounds just like my ex-Z with gutted cats as the only exhaust mod. The motor revs up so nicely with these and the underdrive crank pulley. I wish I had the technological capabilities to provide a sound clip. Maybe there may be one on Z enthusiast sites. Look for Z's with resonated pipes and a stock exhaust for comparison. Many Z guys are staying away from non-resonated pipes because the cross flow muffler transmits raspiness into the cabin from 2800-3200 rpm. The sedan's straight through design transmits a consistant tone across the rev range. They don't change the character of the motor which some may expect. There is no V8 rumble, but the sting of a DOHC Japanese V6 is well represented with this set up. At idle, it is as stock with more Dbs; but at WOT, it screams.

Yes, that is the stock Y. It is the same as the G35C and 350Z. With test pipes, the extra Y pipe diameter in aftermarket Ys isn't necessary, IMHO.

It’s so nice how the Y and mid-pipe just bolt right up to the sedan. I am going back and forth about saving some dough to get used coupe/Z parts or getting a complete cat back.

I went with Hopupracing.com for $169 or something. Installed it myself needed much patience to get the driver's side exhaust manifold nuts off. Not a bad experience overall.
